I must say that Im ashamed to live in such a world where judgement and assumptions are always a top priority as opposed to actually trying to give someone their fair chance. Not saying that Im perfect by any means and Im still just as guilty as the next person when it comes to being judgmental at times. Unfortunately as humans this is only part of our nature, its just up to us how we choose to modify it. Being a straight shooter is a good quality if used within reason and not as a weapon to administer pain to the ones that are undeserving of it. I too have been guilty of this in the past, but over the past year my eyes have opened up very wide to see my life for what it truly was/is and I learned that a lot of my straight shooting habits were hurtful to people and most of the time way unnecessary. Being blunt and to the point is respectable if used in the correct context. As I have learned now its more helpful to people if you offer your advice in a caring way because you will notice that ears will slowly start to open as opposed to just simply giving an opinion because we all know that opinions are like assholes and most of the time the person with the opinion often is an asshole as well. Basically never judge a book by its cover and always give everyone their fair chance without assumptions. Who knows, that person you place judgment on may be the one person you need in your life at some point. Ok enough rambling, just treat everyone with love and kindness until youre given a reason not to. Ive been on both sides of the fence now and I can honestly say that I now know which approach is more effective. As my mother always says... Youll get more bees with honey.
