I need a contact in Italy to ship a package. APO is going to be preferred, but even any friendly contact will do. Venice of course will be ideal, but Milan or Piedmont (I plan to visit a couple of Via Ferrata trails there first) will do. My plan, and people who know me arent going to be surprised, is to ship over an inflatable kayak and get it to Venice so i can kayak the canals for a couple of days. There is a kayak outfit nearby, but they essentially charge $160 for a day trip, and that is with at least 1-4 other people. I prefer the autonomy of choosing where and when I go. Ive only found references of one or two people doing this previously. So Patrizia La Trecchia Michela Buonomo Allitalytours Tina Hayes and other Italia connections, any ideas or resources? Essentially Id just like to ship it there soon and then pick it up on my way through. Even if someone can just accept the package and leave it somewhere handy that I can snag it will be fine. My last bet is to find a hotel or hostel in Venice willing to accept a shipment, but Im sure getting packages around there is a pain. When Im done with the kayak, Im just going to give it away.
