I need advice on whether my van is safe to drive after it did this wonky transmission thing yesterday. I backed up a hill, then it rolled forward a few feet--in reverse. I shifted into drive, but then the power steering and brakes went out, and I tried shifting into neutral, but nothing worked. I could barely steer it, but I steered down the hill and into the garden, where I rolled to a stop. I turned the engine off, and when I restarted it, everything was fine. Safe to drive? Or take to Ish????
