I need some advice-I am on Fentanyl patches for pain management and have been for over 5 years. I always get the same amount and use the same pharmacy. Right before Christmas I went to Walgreens and got my meds. I put them in my purse as I was in a hurry. When I got home I realized that they shorted me 5 patches. I immediately called back and the pharmacy manager told me that I told the customer service lady that I only needed 10 not 15 this month. I did not..We didnt even discuss the number. She was going to investigate and call me back..I never heard from her so I called again the next day. She said then said the prescription was written wrong and they filled it according to what is said. I asked them to pull the script and went up there so I could take it up with my Pain Mgmt Dr. Meanwhile called the DR and they said it was written correctly. Ok so went back and forth through the holidays and no one ever will get back with me. Went in today and they said they gave me what they had on stock and I forfeitted the rest because it was controlled they couldnt do partial fill or refills. No one told me this when I put the per. in or picked it up. I am trying to argue with them again. I will be out before my Dr will rewrite a pre. for the next months supply. Legally he cant write a script for more and he cant do it for more and let me half them because it is in patch form...I called Walgreens corp. and they never got back to me..sigh..If I dont have my patches I will be in serious withdrawels..This isnt right..Someone should investigate..What would you do? Who else could I contact..I have tried to be understanding with the holidays etc..but after going in today and them coming up with another story..just infuriated me
