I need some doggy advise: After Bindi died a few weeks ago, we adopted Gunner an un-neutered Boxer/Pit Mix to give Bentley a neutered Boxer/Mastiff mix someone to play with because he was moping around. Gunner is a VERY persistent puppy who lives to hump Bentley to the point where he now walks backwards to defend his ass from being ravaged. They have had several altercations, one of which I shouldnt have stuck my leg in between them as I was nibbled upon. The fighting has lessoned, and the playing has increased, however Gunner now has little nicks and scabs all over his head and neck from Bentley playing too rough...I have an appointment to get him fixed next week, however, the vet said that the humping is a learned behavior and dominance so fixing him may not be the solution. My last resort is finding Gunner a new home, but if I cant get these two to straighten up and fly right Im going to have to....Anyone have thoughts, ideas or suggestions?
