I need some help Facebook followers. Please read below - If you are on the North Shore and can foster - I would be so grateful. I would take Hutch on myself, but I already have 4 dogs plus those I board. Please read and let me know in the comments below. I know I have a very loyal group following this page - so lets see if we can help this gentleman take the next step of his retirement with dignity and happiness. Share far and wide - let this be a happy situation. I will provide - for free - any assistance required for the smooth transition of Hutch to his new foster home, training required. We just need his dad to know that Hutch will be ok. Please let this happen xo This is indeed a difficult request. If anybody has any ideas or options to help please let me know. Hello Jacki My 81 year old father Michael has a 14 year old Jack Russell cross called Hutch that he dearly loves and does not want to part with. Unfortunately, however, my father is living by himself and is now falling frequently and is unable to look after himself. He is resisting the move to a Nursing Home as he, understandably, does not want to part with Hutch. Hutch has separation anxiety and barks constantly whenever he is left alone. He is also unsuitable for relocation as he has now got used to weeing and pooing inside (an unfortunate habit that he has picked up while living in my father’s apartment because he is frequently locked inside with no access to an outside area). Our long term solution is to drive Hutch up to my sister-in-law’s farm behind Coffs Harbour to live out his life but, while my father is still alive, we are trying to find a way for my father to keep seeing Hutch. As we are looking at a Nursing Home in Belrose I was hoping we might find a place for Hutch to stay close by that I could drive my father to, to visit on the weekends. Do you have any ideas that we could pursue? Hutch means the world to my father and I am sure he wouldn’t mind moving to a Home if he knew that he could still regularly see him (e.g. walks on the weekend). I look forward to hearing from you, Regards Sam
