I need to get better at covering my tracks. Or at least not leave - TopicsExpress

I need to get better at covering my tracks. Or at least not leave flaming pink ones around! Mom is usually vigilant about shutting doors when she goes out. Lets just say I am not the most trustworthy of creatures. I chew up stuff A LOT! Really more than any one dog should be capable of. My rough start in life means I can get away with a lot of stuff. LOADS! Mom came home and lets just say she was a bit confused for a while. Holly raced up to her as she usually does and did her normal yay youre home, my god I thought you were never coming back, I thought I was going to starve to death and have to eat Katie I am so happy to see you! Dance and wiggle. When Mom actually put the baby down and looked at Holly, well, she was bright pink! Mom looked around for what she expected was a massacre. There was no trace of any massacre that would leave Holly running around with the brightest pink feet ever seen before. Dad said all he found was a tiny styrofoam ball in the hallway. Mom looked at me. I was as clean as a whistle. Pristine white. She looked at Holly. Bright pink. Even the inside of her mouth was pink. Not normal dog pink either. More like dog got into the candy cupboard and ate every scrap of red and pink candy she could find and then chugged a bottle of food dye pink. She looked back at me, still pristine white. She squinted her eyes at me. I wiggle my tail at her. See the thing is, since I arrived, Holly is the good kid. Can you believe it? Holly?? She used to be destructo dog. Used to chew everything in site. Then I arrived and she stopped chewing everything. So the fact that I was pristine white and Holly was bright flaming pink really confused her. She toured the house and couldnt find a thing. Megan called out that there was a pink smudge on her butterfly rug upstairs. Mom went up. One small pink smudge. She looked at Holly again, bright pink. Me? Still white. She squinted her eyes at me again. I wiggled my fluffy tail again. She humphed at me, she wasnt buying my innocence. I got bored and yawned. Moms eyes widened, her mouth hit the floor. Uh oh. I snapped my mouth shut. I gave a half hearted wiggle. Mom took a step towards me. I took a step back. I avoided eye contact. Mom did the Pippiiiin voice. I turned to run, Mom did some sort of ninja move and jumped on me! She pried my mouth open. Brighter than bright, hotter than hot... Pink! She had no proof! I was framed! Look at Hollys feet! She wasnt buying it. She still had no proof. She let me go. I made my escape. Ten minutes later I came out of hiding. I trotted past, trying to make my way to my under the bed den. Mom spotted me! She squinted again. I didnt make eye contact. She has no idea how I got a piece of Christmas decoration. Or why the red holly berries turn bright pink when chewed. Thats ok, I like to keep her on her toes...
