I need to have a word with the writers of the new Ninja Turtles - TopicsExpress

I need to have a word with the writers of the new Ninja Turtles movie. I saved all of my excitement and criticism until I saw the full movie. Well, I saw it earlier tonight- and Im very disappointed. I will say that the Turtles were amazing. The looked great- sounded great- I loved them. I know that many people were upset that they had human facial features, and I stand by what I originally thought. They looked really good, but you know.. everyone is a renaissance master when it comes to taking a visual license with something. HA. Thats sarcasm. The brothers did not disappoint. What did disappoint was just about everything else. Some things only a bit. Some things a lot. Splinters role wasnt enough, Shredder was watered down and very generic, Kurai flat out sucked, and April was a kind of an idiot. Before anyone starts blaming Megan Fox, I seriously doubt it was her. She acted her part just fine. It was the writing. The overall April role needed to be dialed back a few notches from main character to supporting main character like every other April part. Verns part could have been dialed wayyyyy (look at all of those Ys) back. I also hated that they used video clips to date the turtles age. That couldve been cut. They dont look or act 15- it just seems dumb. One of the biggest things was that the main antagonist has the last name of Sacks. Its hard to take Sacks seriously in sentence. Especially when your talking about where Sacks lives, or how the virus will be released atop Sacks tower. Its just too.. ridiculous. I didnt hate it; however, it wasnt anything outside of Ok. Would I watch it again? Sure. As soon as it hits Bluray. Wouldnt make another trip to see it at the theater if I was expected to pay though.
