I need to restore and re-season all my cast iron. After being in this group a while, I see Ive not been doing it well all these years. I want to use Jeffs method from the video I will link below. He uses Crisco. I dont want to have to buy Crisco if I can help it, but I will if its absolutely necessary. I do have a couple tubs of Lard (I use Lard in my deep fryer). Can I use that instead and have good results? Will the method be the same, just subbing Lard for Crisco? Thanks!
