I never post such personal statuses but I just have to say this and then I’ll leave it be. I am a very liberated woman in every sense of the word, but when it comes to dating, I tend to be very traditional or “old-fashioned.” I will put myself out there only to a certain degree, give you a little sign here or there that I am interested, but then I expect you to take the lead. I want the man to be the man in the relationship…to be the aggressor (in a reasonable sense of course!). I am a woman. The Bible says that “He who finds a wife finds a good thing.” In my opinion, this means that a man should be looking for me, pursuing me…not the other way around. This does not mean that I should make it too difficult for a man because I have to show some kind of interest, but this DOES mean that I am not going to be chasing after anyone. I want a significant other who can lead me, encourage me, advise me, care for me, provide for me, and most of all, love me the way that God does. He will never be able to meet the standard of God but I need him to be striving towards that. I need a man that I can walk along side throughout this life. I am willing to be the Biblical definition of submissive if I have someone worth being submissive to. I understand that this viewpoint may not be the popular viewpoint for a lot of singles today and no disrespect to anyone, but I am a different kind of woman.
