I normally dont, or even think about, posting about current affairs on Facebook. But I want to say I believe you cant ask, much less force, a secular organization that wants religious freedom to enforce a religious rule over its people. I dont believe there is any right that says you can censor something just because it offends you, not to mention its a stupid idea in our global network that allows access to any information and the Streisand effect. Yes, I do think respect for religion and their practices is important, but freedom of opinion is also important, thus no one can demand respect. If I didnt have a choice to not respect, that respect would be meaningless. I believe in reasonable discourse, where both sides act in interest to learn, not to assert, what is right should be the convincing tool, not fear enforcement. That said, with freedom to say what you want inevitably comes with the freedom to be say some jackass and dumbass things (the internet being the ultimate testimony). So we have to become responsible for our own opinions and be ready to not just accept when they dont hold up to integrity, but also actively seek the opposing viewpoint.
