I often wonder if my Dallas friends wonder just what was it that got me led to Christ. Ive had 2 FB windows open. Im closing this one. but I was having problems with sleep. Horrible dreams a man talked me into buying a bible so I did. So you could safe;ly say that Christ had his hand on me way back then when I was 21 yrs old. About 3or 5 yrs later I got hooked on another type of drug Heroin. yeah I started in Dallas but when I was working in San Antonio it was everywhere. I was whats called a functioning addict WAYBACK THEN. It was a secret. Nobody knew. I was g the WhizBang Master of Electrical construction. But still was having trouble sleeping bad horrid dreams I got on a Methadone program and told my counselor in San Antone, the extent of my dreams and the unexplained forks and plates moving around. close a closet door waqke up after restless sleep to find the closet not only opened but things moved around. Told the caseworker again, She told me to find a radio station that played soft relaxing music. Voila I landed on a Christian station I immediately took notice. Sandy Patty, Kieth Green, Twila Paris and of course Amy Grant. Thayt did it I got to going to church and I literally just almost blew Rock and Roll completely off. Especially Black Sabbath and Oz Fest ,on and on I kind of bounced around 1 foot in the world 1 foot saved by grace But In 1990 a Youth Pastor just walked up to me and said come to this evenings service. I did, but(I still had a secret remember) My mother was Director of nurses here in Corpus at Christus Spohn. she kept my secret with me but I went to Midland in 91 and kicked Cold Turkey.. There I got into a program Teen challenge. very Charismatic bunch. and it was there that the Director said this guys talking a lot about Jesus and the youngsters are listening. The rest most know I went to bible school got kicked out for ...What else...SIN. I WAS DISCOURARGED PICKED UP MY SECRET AND CRAWLED HOME BUT SOMEWHERE BIN THOSE 1 YEARS OF THE 90S I WAS SAVED. how do I know Same thing I keep saying He has not left me alone for 1 minute. Yeah, Im long winded but thats the gist of it
