I often wonder when a person asks for help and all they are told is I will pray for you, does the prayer actually happen? Sometimes (and I admit I could very well be wrong) I really believe that people say that just to shut you up because they dont really care about what you are going thru ro even to see you do better but just to not deal with it because it isnt their problem. With this I am reminded of a scripture in James....chapter 2:14-16. What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. Sorry but if the shoe fits, wear it......
