I opened my Vectren bill to pay today and find a $389 bill. WTH??? So we call and they inform us that so they didnt put their meter readers in dangerous, icy road conditions they estimated January and Februarys usage and billed according to the estimate. Now that its safe for them to work they have caught up and have billed all at once for what wasnt charged. Im not about trying to not pay something but I believe Vectren is wrong for what they have done. I live paycheck to paycheck and sure as hell didnt plan, nor expect, for an almost $400 bill. And for the record, I took my ass to work everyday that the roads were bad. The outcome hopefully wont be as bad...theyre coming Monday to read our meter again and if they do find that are usage is correct then we will have payment arrangements made. Never had to do that before so I believe I deserve this break from them. Sorry for a seriously long rant...lol.
