I played for the Seattle Orcas against Baysides 2nds on Saturday - TopicsExpress

I played for the Seattle Orcas against Baysides 2nds on Saturday at 1pm. I wasnt sure what to expect from Bayside but we quickly found a rhythm and controlled most breakdowns and field space. My teammates were positive and encouraging, and they played skilled hard-nose Rugby. I had a crash ball score, a couple of open field runs and a ton of monster defensive scrum wheels (thanks to my prop). I owe one of the coaches a try for a long run that I finished with a (bullsh!#) penalty 5ish meters from scoring. Its probably the highest level of 15s that Ive played and I had a great time with the Seattle club. After the match Seattle OPSBs A-side played and beat Bayside handedly. Then I jumped in on two shortened games against Quake, which kept me on Magnuson till 6pm. My gas tank was empty by the time we finished. Its been a good first week in Seattle, with a hand full of difficulties. My bikes rear wheel came loose and I managed to break it riding up the steep hill that Im living on. I got a heavy dose of dreary rain today, but managed to get out of the house to enjoy it. This morning I joined community players at Magnuson for some touch. It took some time to get used to one-handed touch but I had a great time in the Northwest rain.
