I posted a few days back... “...Our administration will be successful ONLY when...We work cooperatively with ALL the law enforcement agencies and elected officials in Carroll County.” Ill explain further now. My administration will cooperate and communicate with ALL the police agencies in the County. We will extend our hand to the constables as well. We ALL have the same mission. We are certainly stronger together than we would be otherwise. Officers and deputies need to be able to count on each other for backup. They need to be able to communicate with each other by radio. The two dispatch systems in the County should stand ready and able to assist each other, for the safety of all our first responders, and ultimately the citizens. All the agencies should share training when possible. The agencies should form task forces where appropriate, to combat specific crime issues. When other agencies seek our assistance, we will help in whatever means possible. My administration will cooperate fully with the Prosecuting Attorney. His office is the final authority on whether evidence against an offender is sufficient to file charges. My administration will treat elected officials with the courtesy and respect due them as your representatives. We may not agree on every issue, but our disagreements will be civil, always recognizing that other elected officials are doing what they believe best for their constituency. ALL of us are elected by the voters, and are accountable to the voters.
