I posted about this dog and there is another thread but I cant find it and I just received new information about her…they have named her Sweet Pea…also known as Beautiful Lab Girl… It is suggested the “Sweet Pea” is only 2 or 3 years old because she’s got really good, white teeth. She said she’s very friendly and sweet. She believes that Sweet Pea is pregnant because her nipples have been coming out more. She doesn’t think she’s necessarily ready to deliver but obviously she’s not sure either. Vickis inside dog is a german shepherd/ridgeback mix that she got from a rescue in January. The dogs are friendly through the screen but again, it means Sweet pea will be outside so it is not a long term option or foster situation.. Julie B. has been doing the heavy lifting all day long and learning more about Sweat Pea and her currect the situation. Julie rocks! Julie picked up the food donated by Trisha at Saving Paws (many thanks) and will deliver it and a bed tomorrow. She can better visually assess the situation then. She has been in phone contact with Vicki who spent much of the day in the hospital with her mother as they are grappling with health issues. Though they say Sweet Pea can stay, the yard is unfenced and she is outside without any protection. Vicki can offer only for her to stay outdoors nearby their door thus we are still asking for a rescue to take while proving food in the meantime. Vikki is willing to watch over this girl who is camped outside by her door and sleeps in the basil patch in front. We can then continue to look for placement without the threat of county or worse. She does however continue to need dog food as they have no other resources. Vikki lives in Phoenix near Indian School and 51st ave.
