I posted this recently on my personal facebook, but I really feel the need to share this with all of you. I know that with everything going on, this isnt exactly an important issue, but I still feel like it needs to be addressed. Not only do I still see people complaining about how the Baltimore scene is dead, but also complaining about the lack of tours coming our way. You wanna know why that is? Were not a major market, and you wanna know why were not? Because people refuse to come out to any show thats not a major sellout tour. Look, Im not saying go to every single local or small tour that comes around. But bands, agencies, and labels all talk to one another. If they dont see support coming for their smaller bands, they damn sure wont be sending the heavy hitters when it comes time to tour. Im guilty of not being able to make certain shows, but I think if I can work, go to school, manage a band and a booking company and still make shows, a lot of you should be able to as well. Support your scene or stop complaining. -Austin
