I put a question to you, my friends, because I am doing research right now for a character I want to dress as for Halloween (Yes, I am aware its March, but my goal this year is to create my costume, not buy it online or in a store which means fabrication, which means work, which means TIME is needed.) , and I find myself short on characters I feel comfortable dressing as. So my question is this: Does Plus-size mean unhealthy, diabetic, and poor role model material? Does plus-size mean obese? I ask this mainly because on my quest to find characters I am okay with dressing as, I found an article about a Virginia girl who is putting a petition to Disney to create a Plus size princess. The article really just blasts this topic with tons of negativity and down talking, alot of which I find hard to read just because of how it is put. They compare being overweight to being a drug addict or heavy smoker. So I am going to link the article and let you tell me your opinions. I will also continue my search for characters I feel comfortable trying to dress as.
