I quote: Whilst many churches are succeeding in ministering to homogeneous groups, and whilst it remains the preferred type of ministry for many, growing a multicultural church remains a frontier to be crossed by many churches from within the Reformed tradition. Biblical strategies fro growing city churches must be sought and city workers must be trained for this purpose. Traditional training of pastors has never catered for this need, and therefore it remains a great challenge for churches to engage in intensive in-service training for serving ministers if we are to succeed in the challenge of growing multicultural churches in the city (Vision for Urban Missions: TD.
