I rang in my 25th birthday doing something I have dreamed of since - TopicsExpress

I rang in my 25th birthday doing something I have dreamed of since I was 7, seeing Orca Whales in the wild. As a child I developed a huge fascination with Orca Whales, watching every documentary and movie about them. My parents took me to Sea World and I decided at a young age I would be a Orca Whale trainer. That however was short lived after learning of their poor living conditions. I then decided Marine Biology was a good option, but growing up in a land-lock state that dream ended quickly as well. As I continue to age, I have kept educating myself and donating to Orca Whale causes. This past weekend I spent an evening that will forever hold a spot in my heart. I was able to watch Orca Whales swim, hunt, and live freely near Orcas Island, Washington. Thanks to our amazing guide Joe and his assistant Ashley at Outer Island Expeditions I was able to live out a life long dream. I recommend Outer Island X to anybody visiting Washington, THEY KICK BUTT! I will be posting all of our trip images when I return to ND at the end of the week. Here is one of my favorites of a 3 week old (about 6 feet long) baby Orca! Please visit Blackfish to learn about the poor living conditions of Sea World and what you can do to help!
