I rarely get political on Facebook, but Ive seen so many misinformed and misdirected posts about whats happening in Israel, I am compelled. How people are choosing sides as anti-Israel or anti-Palestine is ridiculous. Innocent people, children who havent chosen sides, mothers and fathers and scholars and farmers, are dying and have been for generations...in Gaza streets from IDF missles and all over Israel, for decades, in suicide bombings from Islamic radicals. Whats happening over there wasnt quickly started, is not easily solved or simply stopped. But what is simple - Israel, though far from perfect, is good. Hamas is evil. Of course Hamas and their hatred doesnt represent all Arabs, many Muslims in Gaza or the millions living peacefully as Israeli citizens. But like Al Quaeda, Hezbollah, ISIS and other terrorist groups, Hamas hates life. And moreover, they hate Jews...and Christians, Americans, other Muslim sects and certainly do not care about their own citizens. In fact, they welcome death. You can choose to believe YouTube or CNN or Al Jazeerah or IDF reports, but learn the FACTS before you choose a side. Whether you dispute Israeli statehood 70 years ago, disagree with the so-called occupation and are saddened by the death and destruction in Gaza and throughout Israel, there is no choice to be made regarding whats happening today...right now. I choose good over evil.
