I re-watched MofS last night - the first time Ive seen it since seeing it in the theaters. Its not throw-stuff-at-the-screen stupid -- like, say, Prometheus -- but its got some major problems and plot holes, even beyond whats chronicled here. Its worse sin, though, is that there is nothing really fun or funny in the movie, even with the moments that are meant to be. If you think about it, the semi-truck bit isnt funny at all: Clark doesnt know if the truck actually belongs to the guy in the bar; the destruction is way disproportionate to the guys actions; [dropped the poles section -- looked at the clip again, and they appear to be logs]; and -- remote town or not -- photos of that would be around the world on the webz within hours. And, seriously: Pa Kent telling young Clark that maybe he should have let everyone else on the school-bus die, just to protect himself from possible exposure? Thats a good way to create a monster instead of a hero. Everything Wrong With Man Of Steel In 8 Minutes Or Less
