I read somewhere that Jerry Bruckheimer has been blacklisted for the money he lost with the “Film” the Lone Ranger last year. It’s moments like this that make smile, as Jerry is cut from the same cloth as our nemesis Roland Emmerich…it’s all about the CGI and the Trailer. Michael Bay belongs on the short list of really crappy film makers as well. Jeez the new Transformers is targeting the same audience as always, those who can’t think for themselves. The only thing that can cure this infestation of hack director/producers is when they lose money. Thankfully the public is catching up with Bruckheimer, I’m hopeful Roland and Michael will follow him shortly. HBO is great at making the mini-series. The latest one I’ve been watching in True Detective. It’s eerie and the characters are complex. My favorite character is played by Matthew McConaughey who I’ve like since Dazed and Confused (alright, alright alright……watch the leather). He plays a character straight out of Thomas Hobbes “Leviathan”. Cynical to the core with a mysterious past that has you mesmerized when he talks.
