I read the other day that your memory declines about 2% each decade because your hippocampus ( which is the part of your brain that stores memories) actually shrinks. Neurologists believe you can even the playing field by keeping up with regular exercise. Research shows that after a year long exercise program, the size of the hippocampus increases by about 2%, which reverses age-related brain loss.
