I read this yesterday. There is no doubt in this old white southern womans mind that slavery nostalgia is alive and well - and has been since the end of the Civil War, if in fact that war ever ended. At the end of the article, however, I felt a little cheated. One example in SC - a state with no doubt hundreds of such cases - hardly proves the existence of slavery nostalgia. It is there, however, and it does exist all through the South. I just wish the author had expounded on it a bit more. Still, a must read imvho.
