I realise that my Aussie ways of mateship being friendly to all and my worldly views of all mankind (and womenkind :)...that we are one big family, are not always understood by everyone. I will use the term brother and sister and even Uncle if I think I am too old for a particular friend lol.....It is simply as a friendly gesture and in allot of cases, one used for my closer friends. But at no time do I ever mean offence. Additionally, in the spiritual and chivalric worlds of which I am a part of, the term brother and sister is widely used and understood to be exactly what they are...a courtesy. In many Asian countries. of which I have had the opportunity to travel to, I have been called Uncle out of respect for being an older man. The world is made up of many cultures and we are here to learn from the interactions and opportunities that are presented to us due to the availability of the Internet. But I want you all to know that I never mean any disrespect by using or assuming the term brother. I just try to be a friendly and sincere guy to all. :)
