I realize that by missing church we can miss blessings. I also realize that when we have the opportunity to spend time with our spouse and are doing something together that bring us closer together is not a bad thing. I know the relationship with God comes first and we need that to strengthen our relationships with our spouse, family and friends. I love my sweet church and my church family. Yes we need fellowship with our brothers and sisters in church, but the most important thing is the relationship with God. I feel no matter where I am or what I am doing God is with me. My relationship with God is between him and me and as long as I am not doing something that would go against my morals and my faith, only I have to answer for it. I know people get upset when people miss church, and everyone has their own reasons. The last thing Jeff and I want to do is hurt or disappoint any of our church family by not being there. I am not making excuses for when we miss church because God knows. I believe we are blessed with the best church, pastor and church family. If anyone is upset because we have missed we are very sorry. But it does not mean we have given up or dont appreciate everything God has done and is still doing in our lives. Hope this post does not offend anyone that is not my intention at all. We all fall short daily in our walk with God but it ultimately is our own personal relationship with him that matters.
