I realize that not everything is all about me but Im going to indulge my self-centered thoughts for a minute. I have a great deal of trouble understanding a God and a Universe that gave these people the chance to be parents but not me. If there is an actual reason and not just the bad-luck of the draw, I certainly dont know it. If you are blessed to be a parent then I beg you to please recognize what an amazing gift youve been given and do not for one second ever take it for granted. I would give all that I have for sleepless nights, potty battles, picky eaters, pre-teen dramatics, teenage angst and, one day, the pain of empty nest syndrome. Rest in peace, Junior. Im so sorry I did not get to be your mother.
