I realize that you guys are trying to send a message and open the eyes of friends and family, but the point of the ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE is to challenge someone to do something they dont want to do in order to get them to donate money. Well guess what? People arent going to want to do either of those very much and typically will choose the lesser of two evils. Modest living people especially will choose a bucket of water being dunked on their heads rather than donating one hundred dollars when they may not have it in the budget that month. I agree with the cause and the positivity of the whole thing, but I disagree with the means by which you are trying to get a result. Its an effective way to get the word out and spread it around, but its not really helping the cause when everyone just end up making a video instead of donating to the ALS Foundation. By definition, this is not an ultimatum, but youre still giving someone the choice to either donate money or dump water on their heads. If 9/10 choose to dump water on their heads then in my opinion you are getting a negative outcome or result because it strays from the point which is to donate money to a good foundation, not to dunk water on your heads like an idiot and show the world that youd rather keep your money and publicly embarrass yourself. That being said, I dont even really agree that its embarrassing or that much of a challenge for that matter. Sorry for sounding or seeming negative, but thats my thought on it. Stop dumping water on your heads and realize the point, please. That or find a different way to appeal to the community about something you believe in.
