I realize this shouldnt bother me so much, but I REALLY hate it when places have rules posted prohibiting things that are already illegal...or when they thank you for not doing something illegal. Today there were rules posted about assaulting people - really, no punching people in the face here? Thats usually fine everywhere else. Usually its just, thank you for not smoking, which actually means, we appreciate not having to send the police in to arrest you for smoking on public transport. I do kind of wish the MBTA would also announce, thank you for not stabbing people in the spleens.
