I really do feel very empathetic towards Obama and his family....and the best thing for them will be to put this job far behind them and get on with a conventional life. hIs daughters gloriously combine the best of what kids are all about; you can just see it them and the presidents bride is a wonderfully positive, enthusiastic and caring person who I think it would be impossible to dislike. I wonder at times how some people can call themselves Christians and be so quick to judge someone for the color of their skin....We are all Gods children and until we learn to understand that how can we really strive for godliness....how can we hope to be all that we can be. The whole life process is so magnificent that I feel deprived in a sense living in a cloistered way where there are so few of different color, so few who embrace differences, the kind I grew up with, the tolerances I learned and I am sure my friends had to learn dealing with me, but in all, the differences made for vitality, freshness, new thinking, diversity, new horizons, and contributions to my living that I would never had known without being able to rub elbows with so many of so many different persuasions. Thank God for that! And I hope before I die that I see a sea change where everyone feels so equally blessed. It would be good for us; it would be good for the human condition.
