I really wasnt going to say anything, but too much as been said at this point ... First... dont you think its a little funny for a publication that is doing a story about THE FESTIVAL to have this kind of headline? Hello? Second, is what Robert said so inaccurate? Are people really this soft in the head? I would say the same thing ... because run of the mill means, doing the same shit ... booking the same artists, playing the same music, catering to the same audience ... yall can get mad at the messenger if you want but the truth is the truth ... (some) traditional jazz venues dont cater to or invite the kind of artists who are the ones redefining the MUSIC ....so massive audiences are left hanging??.... nah...they will go somewhere else and we will play somewhere else. Who do you think will be playing in jazz venues in later years (if they survive) ? What music do you think they will be performing? No great lover of this art form would ever disrespect it... the truth is the truth .... get over it.
