Hip Hop is geared towards a younger demographic in most cases. Generally speaking anyone over 30 can be viewed as old in the eyes of the public. I feel as if there is no age limit. However... If you are 40 and just starting out... You may want to consider a behind the scenes job in music. Everything depends on your current level of success. Ill be 33 in a month and I still create music as an artist. However I also write for other artists, produce, mentor, and license my music as well. So Id say.. The older you get -- The more you need to have going on then just record sales. Dont let anyone slow up you dreams based on your age -- age brings wisdom, so be wise enough to know whats best...
