I received an interesting, yet really cool phone call today. One of my old police buddies, who is now a state Trooper phoned me. He said, hows your French? I told him its a little rusty, why? He explained that he had found an older couple, lost on the causeway of Willard Bay and they didnt speak a lick of English. I told him Id give it a shot. I was amazed at how quickly my French came back to me. Turns out, they were trying to get to the Great Salt Lake to take a swim. Lol! I spoke to them for a little while and answered all of their questions without using any English. I probably butchered verb conjugation but they seemed to understand me just fine. Better yet, I understood them very well. That was fun!
