I received another mailing from the Milton Friedman foundation for choice, and as I occasionally do, I opened it to see if it said anything new. No. Still zero evidence presented of improvement in education. Thats been the case for years. If the foundation really had an interest in improving education, they might start promulgating what actually works. But they dont have that genuine interest, so theres no promulgation of effective techniques, of best practices. I once asked them what their studies revealed on this question of what kind of school, with what kind of teaching techniques, parents should choose if they have a choice and wish to choose that which is most effective.. They havent looked at that. Enough said. Theyre a front for the religious schools seeking public dollars, who dont want to be answerable to the public to questions of improvement in education.
