I received some sad news this morning. David Spokes from KMORC rang to inform me that Rod Thurgood had passed away last night. Rod was one of those guys who work hard behind the scenes. He was an integral part of the running of KMORC including running their website. He also ran the website for the Off Road Warehouse SCOR Masters. Rod had been my co commentator at the Wittitrin 300/Kempsey 250 for a number of years and was always a pleasure to work with, very professional and looked after the sponsors. He was also heavily involved with the Australian Late Model Sedan Speedway Series. Rod will be sorely missed by many of us Our thoughts go out to Rods family and friends.
