I received this request from a student: I have never requested a recipient for the card program, but I would like for you to consider the story of Liesl and Andy Shakespeare. Liesl was an outstanding leader in her time on campus, was Chair of Muster Committee and and active in her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. Would you post Noahs story to your card program to show this young family a bit of love from the Aggie family? They recently lost their baby son, Noah. Noah’s funeral was March 11, 2014. This is a message from his parents to their family and friends: “Our hearts are in agony over Noahs death, yet we are overwhelmed at the outpouring of love and prayers from family, friends, and even people we have never met. We deeply mourn the loss of our beloved baby boy and all of the moments we will never share with him. We will never hear him speak his first words or see him take his first steps. Noahs life was only a breath, but seeing his life and death touch so many people is helping carry us through. As hard as it is to face the world, we need to see as many people as possible at his visitation and the celebration of his life. We need to continue to receive messages and cards from friends and strangers alike. We could never make sense of what has happened, but for our sake, we need to continue to see that Noahs story has a purpose, even if we dont yet know what that is. Noah was ours on this earth to hold in our arms for 80 days. But we know that we will hold him again one day.” The parents asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Parkridge Pregnancy Medical Clinic 5203 79th St, Suite B, Lubbock, TX 79424 or Parkridge.org/do If you would, please send a card to Noah’s parents. I cannot even imagine what they are going through at this time and they really need the Aggie family right now and in the weeks to come. Please send cards and letters to: Dr. Andrew and Liesl Shakespeare 119 Crocker Dr. Temple, TX 76502
