I recently learned that a doctors stool is very good for using at your sewing machine. Keeps your posture correct and it raises higher than a office chair. Anyway, they are not expensive, so I thought I would give it a try. Ive been using it since Nov. and I really like it. Problem for me was the cover. It was solid black and you know I have two yellow labs... that shed... all over my new stool, just by walking by. If you have a lab you know what I am talking about! I couldnt just staple a new cover on, bottom of chair is plastic. This morning it hit me... make a cover just like an ironing board cover. Cut the shape, zig zag stitch over some string and pull it tight to cover. Now it is nicer looking... and shedding dog fur brushes right off...Genius! What solutions have you come up with to tame pet fur in your sewing area?
