I recently read a commentary made by an Atheist & here was his assertion: “If GOD is d God of healing, he must logically also be d God of sickness. According to him, if there was nothing like sickness, why should there be healing. Because one could only talk of health, on d premise of d existence of sickness.“ Wow! I love that! Such an astute submission, yet a depiction of man‘s frailty. Actually, if you critically read through his assertion, you may be tempted to say he is perfectly correct. But you know, the natural man cannot understand d things of d Spirit for they are foolishness unto him neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned. 1Cor.2:14. 1. First thing first, GOD does not tempt, he does test. 2. Sickness & every other pains/troubles we face today all started from Genesis 3; for from d begining it wasn‘t GODs will that we suffer from any of these menaces. It was only when man rebelled against GOD, these consequences automatically became man‘s “property.“ 3. GOD is not wicked as to cause sickness. It is d devil who does that. GOD is no magician that would need afflict men with sickness, & then later perform d magic of healing to attract praises from men. He depends on no man‘s praise to be GOD. 4. GOD does chastises at certain times, that will be in a bid to get us back to his will, especially if we‘ve deviated.. That doesn‘t make him bad, rather it only depicts his love for us; for he chastises those he loves. 5. Lastly, sicknesses/pains & troubles are all a temporal phenomena for those who know GOD. But those who reject him here on earth will have these “properties“ as an eternal reward in d life aftermath.. When JESUS shall return, we shall be restored back to Genesis chapter 1 & 2, where there will be no more sickness, disease, pains, trials, violence & many more.. Lets look on to this blessed hope. #maranatha
