I recently saw this post by an organization that I have to comment on becuase I think they really missed an opportunity to talk about the real problem. The reason people are leaving the church has nothing to do with: Faulty sunday productions, Using the wrong language, Wrong place of worship, Protesting in wrong places, Making people feel they dont need to chang to accept Christ. Here is the real problem and it is simple, so simple we have missed it altogether. Our love for God through Jesus does not exist in any quantity large enough to bring about a change in our every day life. When a person loves the Lord with all their Heart, mind and strength. They will make decisions based on that incredible life changing overpowering, dynamic, miracle producing new power flowing through them into every area of their once compromised life. God will shine through them, and so cause that person to step out in faith, do the impossible, have such a love for others. They will flow in a completly different supernatural stream that the people who are so dry, fed up, and tiered of seeing false doctrines and immitations will run, flock to that person that no church building size, or program could hold them back. The real problem is simple, people have traded the conviences for courage, wealth and its pursuit for Godly esteem. Satisfaction in worldy comforts, have left us deaf, lazy, more afraid of the world than the judgement of God. Show me a person who is willing to stay up just 30 minutes more because they cant put the bible down becuase God is talking through the glistening words on the page, takes breaks to go to the bathroom so he can lay prostrate before God in prayer with their face on the floor, is willing to sacrifice it all financially because they are sure because of prayer that God told them to give more than they have, walk into a red zone and stare down the face of hell because the Lord told them there was a Saul who needed saved.
