I recently shared a rant on my personal page regarding a beautiful young lady being asked how people that are skinny like us can live with ourselves looking so deathly. I wasnt looking for anyone to tell me that I look okay, I dont have a problem with the way I look, I was born this way, and the only reason I have had any self esteme issues in the past, are because of stupid people making comments like this. It has taken me quite some time to get over the fact that in the past, people have thrown food at me, or told me to dig through the trash for scraps because I obviously didnt eat enough, Im too fragile, I can hide behind a toothpick, nicknames like ribcage and bones, calling me names and making jokes, and I have learned to both laugh at myself and embrace myself while ignoring the ignorance of body shaming. Ive always understood that its either a misunderstanding of how individual bodies are different and process things differently, or that there is just a ton of jealousy going on... either one does not call for insults, it calls for a better understanding and a better self acceptance! Please, dont spread hatred, accept that we are all different and normal is boring! The Vintage Doll, is priceless, and if you could imagine my face in her place, and ignore the fact that Ill probably never have that many adoring fans, and my slight stage freight keeps me from recording myself (working on it... embracing everything takes time), shes saying exactly what I am saying, and have been saying, as if she took the words right from my heart!
