I remember a time when once we demonstrated. We marched, we sang, - TopicsExpress

I remember a time when once we demonstrated. We marched, we sang, we were beaten, some died. We stopped a war. We foiled the arms makers feasting upon the bloody carcasses of innocents. We discouraged a President from running another term, and one more to resign. We were brave and strong. We knew what was right! Then the fat cats got wise. They changed the name of protest to terrorism. We can no longer stop wars or make presidents resign. We are brow beaten into submission with clubs of money. It will cost more than money to bring those ones to their knees. If we would simply walk to travel, go without, starve rather than eat their poisoned food, refuse to be spectators, craft our own truthful media, and in short, reject everything they must have us buy to remain in control over our lives we might have a chance. But who would chance exercise their convictions in that way? Who would be so brave? We said no more Viet Nams, but in return they gave us Iraq, Afghanistan and 10+ years of war. It is out of our control now. The pathetic truth is all we are all so overwhelmed, we have lost our ability to care. Its simply too much. That is what they want. They have paid off even the inner workings of free speech and the money changers now run the temple. They even tell us how to pray. Which one of you is brave enough to resist?
