I remember as a child growing up .. several decades back.. Wed have toy guns.. and me mum always used to say Dont you dare point that thing at anything but lions and tigers and bears (she specifically told me after I sat from across the yard and pointed my toy at the postman,, stupid postman anyway) .. She wasnt kidding either.. As a result Other than targets and hunting I never did point it at anything other UNTIL one night when a man broke in my house who I held at gunpoint for some time (I thank the powers that be that for whatever reason I did not shoot him.. thinking back is what inspired me to post this just now) until I gave him 5 bucks, fed him breakfast and drove him into Loveland as soon as sun came up (I am lousy at this whole supposed to shoot people who break in thing) .. Anyway.. to this day.. dont you dare point those things (guns) at anything other than lions and tigers and bears..Mamas rule.. When I see grown men pointing them towards crowds, carrying them into shopping malls.. or celebrating the very power of certain destruction.. I always think to myself in addendum.. oh ya.. but dont shoot any endangered tigers, or endangered tigers or endangered bears either.. I was a hunter.. Ive hunted.. I am a vegetarian and I could dress out a deer in just a very short time as I have many times.. A gun in 2014 is a LOT of responsibility.. I am not pro or anti gun.. I am anti ignorance with guns.. UNLESS you are being invaded.. only point them guns at lions and tigers and bears.. and then not endangered ones.. When is enough celebration of the damn things enough?
