I remember being waken up on this day 13 years ago by my cousin, who told me that something terrible was happening. It was my day off, and I had no idea it would be the most memorable day off Ive ever had. Instinctively, I called my family and close friends to make sure they were ok and aware of what was happening. I still wasnt quite sure myself. I spent the day with Mike D Redefine and Sandy Pörtner, and we watched the news all day, trying to figure out how to feel and how to act. It was the weirdest mixture of anger, confusion, fear, and sadness, but I couldnt help but feel a little bit grateful that the people I loved were safe. None of us who were old enough to know what was going on that day will ever forget it, and as I sit here re-living the events in my head, I want to let all my friends and family know that I love you all, and if you lost someone that day, my thoughts and prayers are with you today.
