I remember getting into Beast Wars when it was showing on TV back in 1997. I was 17 with fond memories of Transformers and at first glance Beast Wars seemed stupid. But I watched it anyway and while I dont remember much about it, I remember getting sucked in. I recently bought the whole series on DVD and have been making my way through it, and I can see why it grabbed me. Wow! This show is ridiculously good and I would easily call it one of the best written childrens shows ever. The animation is dated and there is a fair bit of cheese, but the characters and handling of the ensemble cast is just fantastic. Im pleasantly shocked at how good it is.
