I remember helping shima sani (grama Sloan) during the summer - TopicsExpress

I remember helping shima sani (grama Sloan) during the summer times with carving of sheep wool. Masani washed the wool, spread them out to dry out on a truck hood, after the wool dried, she clean the sand, weed debris & untangled the wool using the bristles wooden paddle, which also soften the wool. When I didnt do it right or if I was playing she use to say, Ákótáo haníí! Then give me a short lecture. She than spin the dibe bighááh with a Bé ádízííh/spool [which she later gave me to have], as I handed her pieces of wool to add on to the one she was already spinning, making a ball of yarn to weave with. Masani still does this, when she gets a chance of course, do to health shes slowed down a bit... Aóshinéé shimasani, ayoo aniin shnií
