I also remember how a lot of uneducated, ignorant people blamed it on the president and said that he and his Muslim brothers were in it together and making deals to keep gas prices high. Whats more amusing is that others running for office stated that they would lower gas prices and get the USA off of foreign oil. Here we are, 6 years since those first idiotic beliefs were uttered and gas is falling like the Congressional approval rating. The fact is that no president in no era has ever or will ever control the price of gas! People who believe that the president can have such a profound affect on a global commodity are simply uneducated morons.
