I remember how much peace and comfort Hospice gave to my grandmother as she was dying. I remember the mixture of emotions I felt as we were losing her... relief, denial, comfort, sadness, nostalgia, and immense love. It occured to me today that we also need a Hospice for dying relationships... a meals on wheels for the broken hearted. A phamphlet explaining all of the emotions we go through when we lose somebody we love, even though they are still walking on the planet. An obituary in the newspaper, and lots of flowers and sympathy cards would be nice. We never say "get over it" when we lose someone to death, but we do when relationships end. Am I the first person to ask why? This could be a multi-million dollar business.
