I remember sharing an article on this a year ago when they first came up with the idea, and I am really glad it has picked up momentum and gone somewhere. A group set up a rolling jubilee, based on the Biblical outline of a Jubiliee once every so many years where everyone is supposed to forgive others of their debts. They have raised $400,000 so far, and used it to buy out nearly $15 million in bad debts cheaply, and then just forgiven it. They hope the Jubilee will continue to roll forward as those who have had their debts forgiven donate what they can to free the debts of others.
